BRIANNA & CAMERON- THE GEORGE BALLROOM
Brianna and Cameron's love story began 12 years ago whilst rehearsing as dancers on a cruise ship. So with it's high ceilings, distressed walls and heritage charm The George Ballroom, found in the heart of St Kilda, Melbourne was an obvious choice of venue for the two.
Flowers & Styling
Keeping with a more classic and timeless look Floral Accents, the couples florist created a whimsical arbor of foliage where the couple would say their I do's. Fresh white blooms teamed with foliage would be the look that carried throughout the day, from bouquets and table settings to the cake.
Sentimental touches
Their rings were kept in a bag Cameron's late grandmother had sewn. When it came time for the rings, Cameron's father passed their rings to Brianna's grandparents who 'warmed' the rings before the couple exchanged them. It meant a lot to the couple to involve the grandparents in such a beautiful way.
Single Soul Photography kept the mood fun on the day capturing cute and quirky memories the couple could look back on and smile at.
The cake!
A semi naked cake was the design of choice. We coupled this with fresh flowers sourced by Floral Accents which we hand wired on site to create a free flowing arrangement which mirrored the venues styling. We coupled this with one of our vintage stands which created a little more height and elegance.
Chocolate coconut and Lamington were the couples favourite flavours and we layered this alternatively throughout the cake having the exterior of the cake peaking through to give that exposed look.
Words of advice from the Bride
This day is about the two of you!!! Make sure you celebrate in your own way.
We had many friends tell us that between greeting your guests and all the formalities, they felt like they hardly saw their partners on their wedding day. With this in mind, we chose several songs that no matter what we were doing, when the song played we would run to the dance floor. We made the decision to spend our night dancing together and with our loved ones... and we did!
