How they met: Let's take you back to 2011. Where local Dj Evan and patron Courtney locked eyes. Not your usual nightclub love story (I'm sure we all have had a few we'd like to forget)From the moment they met, the connection was strong. They had a lot in common, and shared the same values and goals in life which resulted an unbreakable bond. Let's cut to the scene every women would love to play out. A Central park picnic proposal where Evan got down on one knee to ask for Courtney's hand in marriage. Eat your heart out Carrie Bradshaw!Something old, something new, something borrowed something blue!Courtney certainly was the 'Modern' bride. No traditional touches here. Which we love! The inspiration behind the style of the couples wedding was ‘Modern Luxe’. The Venue itself is quite modern compared to most Wineries in the region. The wonderful Laura from Weddings Of Desire was the Stylist who put this creation together. Black & Gold were the key colours for the day, mixed with white, blush & latte flowers to create the perfect mood. The way Laura & her team transformed the space was incredible. It’s all about the cake [well for us anyway] The brief was simple, given the moody luxe feels of the Port Phillip Estate winery. A black and white design with 21k champagne gold edible foil for a non-traditional bold touch. The hand wired Orchids weaving up the cake in a free flowing arrangement tied in with the table arrangement. Styled by the uber talented Laura Harvey from Weddings of Desire.Advice for Future BridesVery cliché but breathe, take it all in, enjoy every moment. And because we know you’ll ask.
