Cake drips.. They look ever so simple, but heck no! If you’ve ever attempted a drip on a cake you probably have PTSD, shaking back and forth in a corner somewhere.

What if I told you it’s not just about skill, but it takes the perfect recipe to nail that glossy smooth drip time after time. No clumpy and chunky drips here folks!

Christina Blaby from @BoutiqueCakeArt will not only guide you through how to make the easiest chocolate ganache drip recipe you ever did try, but she will also show you how to pour it to achieve an even natural looking drip.

The basics won’t be forgotten about either. Even if you are an advanced decorator this workshop is great for scrubbing up on levelling, filling and stacking cakes. Achieving a smooth finish to your cake is also a focus and this particular frosting has a hint of speckly chocolate goodness as well for extra pizzazz.

Just because we are all about up skilling and getting the most out of our classes. Christina will also teach you how to colour and pour chocolate sails and also all things to do with wiring and taping flowers safely.

You will learn

  • Leveling, filling, stacking and doweling a double barrel cake: 6inch round height 6inches (She ain’t going to move, anywhere!)
  • Masking your cake- (Trapping all those little cake crumbs, so you have a smooth final product)
  • Mixing colours- (How to achieve different tones of pink)
  • Applying buttercream – (Super smooth cake finish with crisp edges)
  • How to make and pour a ganache drip (It’s all in the recipe, folks!)
  • Colouring and pouring chocolate sails
  • Wiring, taping and arranging flowers (What flowers to use and those to avoid)
