Ever wondered whether you’re dowelling and stacking your tiered cakes correctly? Wonder no more with this in depth, hands on and in-person 2 tiered cake workshop.

No more stressful deliveries or wondering whether your cake has held up after hours of being on display.

Christina Blaby from @BoutiqueCakeArt shares her knowledge and skills in this workshop answering all of the questions you may have around the topic. What boards and dowels do you use? How do you secure your cake to the base board? What buttercream do you use for both fillings and decoration? Just to name a few.

From beginner to advance this workshop is an allrounder. Christina begins with the basics of how a cake should be structured for stability. She then moves onto more intermediate/ advanced decorating skills of applying edible wallpaper and applying golf leaf and floristy.

There are also some SUPER SECRET tips on where she sources her edible designs from. Shhh.. Don’t tell anyone!

What you will learn:

  • Leveling, filling, stacking and doweling a 2 tier cake: 6inch round height 6inches and 4inch round height 6inches (This two tier ain’t moving, anywhere!)
  • Masking your cake- (Trapping all those little cake crumbs, so you have a smooth final product)
  • Applying buttercream – (Super smooth cake finish with crisp edges)
  • Working with Edible Wallpaper (How to print your own and where to source already printed paper)
  • Applying gold leaf (Where to source and how to handle it like a pro)
  • Wiring, taping and arranging flowers (What flowers to use and those to avoid)
